Art for political change

Art made in response to war in Iraq by kennardphillips

Kennardphillipps artwork in response to war in Iraq

kennardphillipps is a collaboration working since 2002 to produce art in response to the invasion of Iraq.  In a new exhibition at London’s Mosaic Rooms, with Iraqi artist Hanaa’ Malallah, they will use up-to-date archives of press photography and digital print technology.  The Mosaic Rooms brings some of the most exciting, progressive and innovative creative voices in the Arab World to London.

Their work is made for the street, the gallery, the web, newspapers & magazines, and they lead workshops that develop peoples’ skills and help them express their thoughts on what’s happening in the world. The work is made as a critical tool that connects to international movements for social and political change.

You can see some of their fantastic work here

Here is a film of them projecting their image next to the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London during the Iraq Inquiry last year.
